Their transition from confinement to freedom is daunting, with many challenges. A significant percentage return to custody within a year, but others, with the right support and opportunities, succeed. Learn how you can help make a crucial difference as they strive to begin productive lives. We are honored to welcome the following guests:

Will Brownsberger, State Senator, 2nd Suffolk and Middlesex District. Senator Brownsberger led passage of the Criminal Justice Reform package by the MA Legislature in 2018

Vin Lorenti, director of the MA Office of Community Corrections. The Office provides probation, parole, and reentry services at seventeen centers in MA, including one in Woburn

Kim Yeasir, Co-Founder & Chief Empowerment Officer, THRIVE Communities. THRIVE uses mentorship teams to assist men and women returning to their communities after incarceration

Fred Clay, Fellow, THRIVE Communities, Lowell
THRIVE assisted Fred after he was exonerated and returned to Lowell in 2017. He now leads mentorship teams that assist others in transition. This event is hosted by the Tikkun Olam Committee.
