Telling Our Stories: Life Review and Ley Lines of Love
Sunday, May 4, 2025 • 6 Iyar 5785
2:00 PM - 4:00 PMAfter the enthusiastically positive response to Olivia’s presentation for us last fall, she has agreed to again share her “wise elder” wisdom with us!
There is a tendency later in life for people to want to understand “the story of their life journey”. It is often a way of making meaning of one’s experience and clarifying a sense of life purpose. And it may also be a means of clarifying the legacy of values that we hope will survive us; how our lives may have had lasting impact. Also, some, who have gone through an especially difficult time, have reported that writing about their experience helps put it in perspective. It allows them to move on, make peace with their past and integrate those experiences into their sense of well-being.
Olivia will be sharing the experiences and stories from her own life review process which led to the writing and publishing of her most recent book, “Ley Lines of Love: Adventures Along the Spiritual Path”, which is a spiritual memoir.
Come join us and you might be inspired to embark your own life review process. It has been known to promote a more positive outlook on life (while we still have a life to enjoy).
Olivia Ames Hoblitzelle worked in behavioral and mind-body medicine, and is a well-known local writer and meditation teacher. Her books include "Ten Thousand Joys & Ten Thousand Sorrows: A Couple's Journey Through Alzheimer’s", "Aging with Wisdom: Reflections, Stories & Teachings", and more recently "Ley Lines of Love: Adventures Along the Spiritual Path".
*Ley Lines, a term from indigenous wisdom, are theoretical invisible lines believed to connect significant landmarks and hold sacred or mystical powers.
