Event Rental Paperwork

For any b'nei mitzvah reception rental at Temple Shir Tikvah, the following must be submitted to the office by the b'nei mitzah family at least 30 days in advance:

Temple Shir Tikvah building Use Agreement (electronic). This establishes general expectations on planning timelines, day-of-event logistics, and respectful use of our building.

 

If a caterer is serving or preparing food on premises, the following must be submitted to the office by the caterer at least 10 days in advance:

Temple Shir Tikvah caterer's agreement (printable PDF). This explains in detail our expectations with regard to food preparation, service, and cleanup.

Town of Winchester Catering Permit (online application). Please allow an additional two weeks for processing.

- Certificate of liability insurance.

- Security deposit check for $100, made out to Temple Shir Tikvah and mailed to the office at 34 Vine Street, Winchester, MA 01890. This will be cashed if the building is left in a state that requires an unusual amount of cleaning; otherwise the check will be voided.

 

If alcohol is being served, the following must be submitted by the caterer or responsible manager serving at least 10 days in advance:

Town of Winchester One-Day Alcoholic Beverage License (printable PDF application), only if alcohol is being served. Please allow an additional two weeks for processing.

- Certificate of liability insurance

 

If any other vendor (such as a DJ or entertainment) is being employed, the following must be submitted by that vendor at least 10 days in advance:

- Certificate of Liability insurance
