Lamarr was famous in the mid-twentieth century as a stunningly beautiful actress in numerous Hollywood films. An actress since her adolescence in Austria, she fled Europe because of her Jewish background in the 1930s and created a celebrity career in the U.S. Then she co-invented and patented a key communications technology—frequency hopping—still used in WiFi networks today.

Join the temple community in our sanctuary at 3:00 PM on December 3 for Tinseltown Inventor™, The Most Beautiful Woman in the World, Hedy Lamarr. After the performance there will be a reception with lots of food and time to socialize. This performance is open to the entire Shir Tikvah adult community and honors our Legacy Circle members.
