Join us for a showing of the 2021 documentary My Tree, in which filmmaker Jason Sherman journeys to find the tree that was planted by the Jewish National Fund (JNF) in his honor at the time of his Bar Mitzvah.

Of course, he knows that he’ll never find that exact tree, but the point of his documentary is to uncover what was behind the drive to plant trees in the land of Israel from 1948 to this day. Was it solely to make the land bloom again, or was there another motive to this movement? What he learns, through interviews and site visits, is eye-opening.
